Overview

Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) allows you to grant access to your accounts by creating a new User in ScotiaConnect® Digital Banking.

Setup steps

1. Navigate to user management

Go to Administration, then User Information, and click Request New User.
Fill in the mandatory fields to create the user:

GroupSelect the group the user will belong to.
Mother’s Maiden Name or Secret WordRequired. Must be shared with the new user.
Security Token optionSelect the token type that best meets your needs.
Delivery destinationRequired if ordering a new physical token.
Click Continue, then Submit to finalize the request.
Assign permissions for the user. Permissions can be expanded to customize account access. Select the appropriate Viewing Access and Payment Access for the user.Click Save & close.

Important notes

The secret word is to be shared with the new user only. It will be used to confirm their identity when calling Scotiabank for support.
If the user is in ‘Pending’ status after submission, a second user with approval authority must approve them.
Use one user per account if separate connections are required.
