Overview
M&T Bank allows you to grant access to your accounts by creating a Sub-User. This is done through M&T Online Banking for Business, where you can add an authorized user to the account, create a new username for that user, and set specific limits on transfers for that user.Bank terminology

Setup steps

Enter the required details for the Sub-User.
Click NEXT. A pop-up will appear reminding you of the User ID you created. Note this down and click NEXT on the pop-up.

For each account listed, choose the level of access:
- Access Account: Select this to grant access.
- Set Privileges: If Access Account is selected, you can configure transfer and bill payment privileges.
- Manage Transfers: Choose from “No transfer privileges”, “All transfers require approval”, “Can approve transfers up to [Limit]”, or “Can schedule and approve transfers up to [Limit]”.
- Manage Bill Payments: Choose from “No Bill Pay privileges”, “Can add payees and schedule bill payments (all require approval)”, “Can add payees and approve bill payments up to [Limit]”, or “Can add payees and schedule and approve bill payments up to [Limit]”.
- Place Stop Payments: Select Yes or No.
- No Access: Select this to deny access to the account.

Review the user information and assigned privileges. Click SUBMIT to create the user, then click Finish. Ask the user to log in using the User ID you created and the password they set by following the secure link provided in the password setup email.
Important notes
Use one user per account if separate connections are required.
