Overview

Barclays allows you to grant access to your accounts by creating a new user. This is done through Barclays iPortal, where you can add a user, configure their security device, and assign access to specific Merchant IDs and services.

Setup steps

1. Navigate to user creation

Log in to iPortal and select Users from the Administration drop-down menu.
Click Add New User.Enter the required details as prompted by the interface.
In the Security details section, select either Standalone Mobile or Gemalto Smart Card.Expand the Barclaycard Merchant Services tab and switch on Merchant Services access.
Review the details and click Submit.
Creation of a new user requires approval from a second administrator unless you are the sole admin.
On the iPortal home page, choose Merchant services administrators from the Administration drop-down menu.Scroll down to the Pending users list, click on the three dots next to the user, and select Set up user.Choose the MIDs, chains, and outlets you want the user to have access to, then click Assign merchant IDs.
Choose the services you want the user to have access to, then click Assign merchant services to complete the setup.

Important notes

If no account access is assigned, the user will see no data.
Use one user per account if separate connections are required.
